CMA Foundation Course
ELIGIBILITY
- A student should have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
- Passed Senior Secondary Examination under 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board or an Examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto or has passed National Diploma in Commerce Examination held by the All India Council for Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council, or the Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education. Students who wish to apply offline shall submit their Postal Application form, duly filled in together with relevant documents and remittances to their respective Regional Councils / Chapters only.

- Attested Copy of Matriculation Certificate
- Attested copy of 10+2 Certificate or Marks Statement
- 3(Three) Passport size photographs - (One pasted on application form, one pasted on identity card and one to be attached with application)

ADMISSION TO FOUNDATION EXAMINATION
- Admission to foundation course for the ICMAI course is open throughout the year However, Students desirous to appear for June Term Examination should apply before 31st January of that year and for December Term Examination should apply before 31st July of that year.
- Students may also seek provisional admission to the Foundation Course. Such students would be provided a time period of 36 (thirty six) months to convert from Provisional to Regular Status.
- Admission must be completed at least (4) four months prior to the commencement of Examination
Passing Criteria
A student of Foundation examination shall be declared to have passed in the examination, if he secures minimum 40% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% of total marks.
Papers at Foundation Level
- Paper 1: Fundamentals of Business Laws and Business Communication (FBLC)
- Paper 2: Fundamentals of Financial and Cost Accounting (FFCA)
- Paper 3:Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics (FBMS)
- Paper 4:Fundamentals of Business Economics and Management (FBEM)
Each of the four papers in CMA Foundation is of 100 Marks with 50 MCQs (i.e., each question carries 2 marks); with no negative marking for incorrect answers.
